Fitness Friday + Vlog Friday

I just had an image of myself vlogging while running on a treadmill. Hah. Will never happen.

I have good things to report for this week. I'll keep it brief, but:

1. I went to the gym on Sunday and Wednesday and did both cardio and weight lifting. I'm starting with 20 minutes or so of cardio right now, until I get my booty back in shape just a bit, and until I can go for longer.

2. I did a Crunch video workout on Tuesday, called Super SlimDown that is a blend of resistance exercises and some yoga and pilates. My body was so achy-sore on Wednesday, in a good way!

3. I didn't mention this yet, but I have a certain blend of exercises and stretches that I do every morning.. usually it depends on how I'm feeling, but I always make sure to do crunches, a few sun salutations mixed with a vinyasa flow, lady pushups, and various dancer like leg stretches (I may not dance all the time anymore, but I still must keep myself limber!). I feel SO out of it if I can't do part of this routine one morning.

4. I've been trying to be extra-conscious of what I eat this week. I've been making some pretty healthy dinners for Scot and I (not like he eats much of them) and have limited my self to maybe 1 glass of a wine a night. It's not like I usually go drink a whole bottle, but some nights I have a couple glasses, depending on the day I've had. The best part? I don't even want more than 1 glass lately. Super awesome.

5. I need to actually start reading Naturally Thin, instead of just talking about it.

I hope your fitness plans are coming along as well!!

And now for Vlog Friday, devised by Kate and Cole. This week's topic was to talk about when you first realized you were officially an adult.

By the by, Vimeo hates me. Every video, I have some dumb ugly face on the start screen. Curse you, Vimeo!

Adult time from Stephanie C on Vimeo.

Since I like to analyze, here are some things I realized when I watched this after I recorded it:

1. My bangs suck, hence my flipping my hair/head back and forth about a bajillion times. (Anyone else just start singing "I whip my hair back and forth"? No? Just me? Ok.)
2. I flare my nostrils. A lot. Whatever.
3. Having the laptop on my lap while taping, and then moving around, was probably not the best idea.
4. I talk with my hands a lot. I actually realized this in my dialect vlog. They just fly all over the place. Like my bangs.
5. I totally said "if I die". Let's just pretend I said "when", ok? I promise I'm not an amazing super human who can live forever (or am I....?).

Anyway. When did you first realize you were officially an adult/no longer a kid?

My fitness plans are being formulated...I've been lazy too long! Thanks for sharing some of the stuff you do. I also used to do a morning stretch, cardio routine and I totally forgot about it. I at least need to start doing some yoga stretches in the morning again. I'm getting creaky in my old age!

and p.s. I can't watch the video here at school (I don't know why my school district blocks vimeo but not you tube) but I'll get back to it when I get home!

I have moments too... not one significant moment.

Moving in with the boyfriend and officially taking over my rent payments (my parents paid for it all through uni)

Car payments (new car woooo car payments booo)

Student loans enough said

When home isn't home anymore

When you can have really adult conversations with your parents

When you're no longer a kid at the dinner table and sitting with all the adults

When your Mom has faith in your to cook the entire Thanksgiving dinner when she has to work. EEK! (That was totally scary - she started the turkey phew).

stuff like that... RESPONSIBILITY.

You are awesome with your morning routine, I cannot function before ten a.m.!!

Yes, I just started singing "I whip my hair back and forth" and will now make that my ringback tone on my phone. :)

Have a good weekend!

Its really amazing how much money (and all of the payments and the realization you need more) makes you feel like an adult!
PS I love your observations, I definitely noticed that I look to the right a TON when I am vlogging!
I'm linking to you in today's post, thanks for playing along!

Cool, Steph C... not only do I love your name (hehe), but this is a cool idea, Friday vlogging.

Good for you for the fortitude with working out! I am easing back into it after months of being ill (suppose I still am, but trying to convince myself otherwise.)

Seriously?... Reeeally??... Seriously?

Keep up up to date on your exercising adventures!!

Yay Vlog Friday and yay your awesomeness! I am with you on having LOTS of those moments. And I love your fun quirks. I have them too. I make WAY too many faces while vlogging. Eep.
