Over the weekend (on my half-birthday, actually!) Tress over at Jumble Mash passed along a little award to me called Life Is Good.
Before I go any further, go check her blog out, stat.
Yes, my friend, life certainly is pretty good right now. So thanks!!
The rules:
1. First, thank and link back to the person that gave the award (obviously)
2. Answer the 10 survey questions
3. Pass the award along to other bloggers whom you think are fantastic
4. Contact the bloggers you have chosen to let them know about the award
On to the questions!
1. If you blog anonymously, are you happy doing this? If you aren't anonymous, do you wish you started out anonymously, so that you could be anonymous now?
I'm much less anonymous than I sometimes want to be. I started out pretty general, but found that I like writing about myself and my life and my experiences (hiiii narcissism). More anonymity would allow me to post a couple things that I really can't right now, but I'm ok with that. That's what my personal journal is for. Plus, by being not so anonymous, I'm able to make amazing bloggy and Twitter buddies.. I wouldn't trade that for anything!
2. Describe an incident that shows your inner stubborn side.
Bahahaha, where do I begin? It's really not "inner", more like a main part of my personality. I usually need to have the last word in an argument, just because I like to pretend I'm right even if I know I'm not. No worries, I generally save this attitude for Scot and my mom (sorry!!), since they are just as stubborn as I am. Makes things interesting.
3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?
I pick myself apart. The zit on my chin, my shnoz, my chipmunk cheeks, my teeth, that extra little pooch on my stomach, my texas toast butt. I can't help it, I spent the majority of my life staring at myself in the mirror from my life as a dancer. You pick at things. But there are also times where I think I'm one sexy mamacita. So it also depends on the day.
4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?
Pink lemonade, for sure. Although I learned how to make a killer homemade strawberry daquiri. SO. GOOD.
5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
Time for myself generally equals reading. It's much more fun in the summer, when I can do it on the balcony or by the pool.
6. Is there something that you still want to accomplish in your life?
I still want to be a Rockette. Hey, it can happen. Just need to polish up my high kicks a bit!
7. When you attended high school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching?
Definitely not a clown or ditcher. I considered myself as being pretty shy, but I still had a bunch of friends. And I did a lot.. I was on dance team, participated in Sportsnite, worked on the yearbook, etc. I didn't really fit into any one category (does anyone, really?).
8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment in your life, what would you see?
Poignant? (Yes, I just looked it up.) I kind of get that feeling every time I visit Philly and see the current dance majors leaping and pirouetting away at the UArts studios (you can see them from the street, it's pretty awesome). I guess that's really more nostalgia and bittersweet-ness, but whatever. I miss it.
9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog, or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people and events?
I'm 100% myself. I try to write the way I talk; you can tell if I try too hard or write about something I'm not really interested in. It gets boring.
10. If you had the choice to sit down and read a book or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
Five years ago, I probably would have said talk on the phone, since that was before I was so obsessed with texting and emailing everything. But now I would definitely read a book.. see #5.

Happy belated birthday!! I loved your answers!
Happy half birthday! I say we road trip to NY. I have a friend that is a Rockette... :)
OMG we're so long lost twins - I'm going to do this today because I have nothing to talk about that isn't exactly uber personal and still sorting itself out... (pretty much your answer to question one). Hello cryptic post.
And stubborn... story of my life.
SCHMANKS!!
Major props to you using the term "Texas Toast"! I am thrilled it is catching on! And, btw, there's nothing wrong with it!!! Lovely answers :)
Aww! Yay, thanks girl! :D
Just to let you know, you are one sexy mamasita. Don't you dare think otherwise!! Haha!
Congrats on your award!! I enjoyed reading your answers. I love love love to read too! And you should totally post your recipe for strawberry daquiris!
Happy belated birthday! I love pink lemonade, too!
I want to know what happened with your dancing now. If you've written a post about it, will you link it the next time you comment on my blog? Speaking of which, you're right. I'm totally keeping the robe. He'll be lucky if I don't start wearing it to bed. Number one!!!
