And by identities, I mean screen names and email addresses.
I got to thinking.. I had a bunch. And some of them make me laugh now. Hence, why I am sharing them with you! And I highly recommend that you all share yours as well. Think of it as a little journey down memory lane.
So. Here we go! In chronological order (I think):
1. puddmonstr
This was my very first email back when the interwebs was first invented. Or, more likely, when I was first allowed to use it and it became mainstream and cool back in 6th grade.
Named after my fat cat Simba (aka the Pudds aka Puddmonster).
2. RocKerGurL232
This was my "more mature" upgrade from Puddmonstr that I came up with in high school, complete with CAPS and lowercase letters. It's pretty self-explanatory; I rocked, and I was a
3. Danze708
I made this one to use at my mom's house (not sure why I needed two..?). It didn't last long.. I think because I hated the z in danze. But boy, did I love to dance! And I was born on July 8, which explains the 708.
4. Sunny2003
This one was simultaneous with RocKerGurL232, to be used as my "professional" email on college applications and the like. 2003 was the year I graduated high school, but I can't explain the Sunny part. Except that it was actually spelled right.
5. julianakid9
I think it was a 9 at the end of that.. can't remember for sure. Either way, this was my first AIM screen name, meant only for IM'ing. I was obsessed with this band called The Juliana Theory, hence juliana. I get points for my originality with the kid part. Was I a boy? A girl? Who was the person behind the screen name?? Who knows! I was a kid.
6. preshusfailure5
Staying with the terrible spelling trend, I made this screen name for AIM because I wanted to be witty and self-deprecating and use a lyric from one of my favorite songs by The Weakerthans. The number 5, again, was just a random number.
Listen close and you'll hear it. It's a good song, I promise!
6. britestfirefly1/britestfirefly01
I have a couple of variations of this one.. my AIM screen name was slightly different from my email, and I still use this as a username on various websites if they insist on putting a number in it to be all "secure" and such. Again, it's from a song by a favorite band, Copeland. With improper spelling (hey, you could only have 16 digits!). And the number 1 because 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9 are overrated.
If you didn't listen to the other one (shame on you), listen to this one! Please?
7. sclastname
Last but most certainly not least is my current email that I finally created to actually have a professional one. Boring. But useful for sure.
7a. stephalop
Ok I lied, this is the last one. This is my Twitter moniker and I love it. Friends gave me the nickname and it's fun to use to counteract my oh so boring email. Huzah!
So.. what about you guys? I'd love to hear about some of your past identities!

lol I can't believe you remember them all! I'm a fan of RocKerGurL232.
I think mine were like
one_true_friend
BoarderBetty (my brother's ICQ name was BoarderBob so that only seemed appropriate)
vodka_sistas - my friends and I all made them, since we were the sistas... they were like drunk_sistas... can't remember the other ones
then it switched to hotmail - which was lilaim - and I still have that email
I had AIM for awhile because I liked a guy in Michigan (Canadians didn't use AIM) and my screen name was like adorableaims
then I got my professional gmail which is alastname@gmail.com
then I also have amywithsmile for Twitter...
and Canadian's used MSN Messenger, which you customize your name under (it goes by email which was the lilaim) and I think since Stewart and I started dating it's remained ammmmmy since I am yummy lol.
I've been goo_2563 ever since my best friend created an AIM account for me years ago. 2563 because if you look at your keyboard, they make a square and it was easy for my peabrain to remember. :D
I used the same name for my email and have only created one more email, heartonhomestead, which is my blog name.
Well, unless you count my twitter name, obxwife, which I came up with right after my wedding in the OBX.
Love puddmonstr, I think you should bring it back. ;)
what a great post! I love your use of gurl- very appropos.
I enjoyed using renditions of scooby- I loved scooby doo (no clue why) and i actually began to just my first and middle name a lot.
love this post. i can't even remember all of the them... but i think my first was lilxstar15, swtlovesomething or other, jbabiee (and other variations of it - jbaby), missxjay, firstnamelastname, missjyc, mrsjyw! :)
I cannot believe you remember all of your screen names!! Lets see...
There was Blondiegotback on AOL and that's pretty self explanatory.
Justbreathe12-From the movie Ever After...I still use this one for AIM once in a blue moon. 12 is my birth month.
LilChief1985- My dad was an AF Cheif and I was born in 85.
The one I have currently is my name with 1216 after it (my birth month and day)
And of course JumbleMash. I also know there were many more, but I can't remember them.
this is really fun.
Love that britestfirefly id--i loved Copeland/that song in college (it was my X-bf and I's song--he was really into Copeland)
my sn's were boring:
cowgirlkate
ironicallybrunet
lifeiscinematic
LatteLove!
i'm simple and uncreative mine has always been becca or becca112971
Ha! My first was WANGGIRL, which was from a weird "gang" that my friends and I made up. I got too many *ahem* "propositions" from that one, though, so it didn't last long. I changed that to OSweetPea4 because my best friend called me SweetPea and my crush's football jersey was #4. In college, I changed it to emma5w, and it's been that ever since, as I transitioned from AOL to MSN and now gmail. It came from my nickname, Emma, and the hall I lived on my freshman year of college (5 West).
I love this post! My favorite old screen name was MeGGLeS83. AND OMG... I was OBSESSED with the Juliana Theory!! YES!!!! I am going to listen to that right now!!! YEEEAAHHHH
I can't believe how many screennames you had! (And that you could remember them!)
My first AOL name was spiralfry3 because I have curly hair & curlyfry was taken so I went with spiralfry which is a type of fries at my parent's restaurant. 3 was just random.
Then one day I got online and I couldn't log on to AIM because my parents had gotten rid of AOL without telling me so I switched to Colerz4 because in college I always said I would change my name to Colerz and 4 is my lucky number.
Not very original.
I honestly can't remember my old screen names but I know they were ridiculous and may or may not have all included a variation on silversprinkles and gothchick, ugh.
I really just had to comment on the alarming number of peni in the first pic. My jesus, were all men just...larger...in the 80's or where the pants just a lot smaller?
*and by where, I mean were. Durrr.
