Tuesday thoughts

Confession: I originally planned for this post to be hand-written, but it just wasn't working out. I have too much to ramble on about. So the typed word it is today.

Well it's March! And it's 30 degrees outside. I know it's still winter and all, but it just feels wrong. I decided to "winterize" a summer dress for my outfit today.. if you can't have it, fake it, yes?

Sorry for crappy cell phone quality.

Dress, belt, sweater: H&M
Patterned tights that you can't see: Kohl's - Simply Vera
Brown riding boots you can't see either: Steve Madden

In other news, I went to take my MD jurisprudence exam in Baltimore yesterday, despite all the severe storm and tornado warnings we had. guess what? It rained for about an hour. That's it. So much for my hopes of being carried away to Munchkin Land by a big tornado. No flying monkeys either.

I think I found next year's Halloween costume.

((By the way.. I know some places got hit hard by the weather yesterday, and I am in NO way belittling or discounting that. I seriously hope no one suffered any losses from all that craziness.))

That test is the last step towards getting my MD massage therapy license. Pretty sure I passed.. and now I wait. Fun. The main purpose for getting a MD license is so I can eventually practice from home, do out-calls in MD, and eventually get a job here if/when I so choose (my new job will be in DC where I am already almost-licensed... don't ask). Basically, you can't work in a state if you aren't licensed in that state. Which makes sense, but it would be SO much easier if there was just one license for the country, no? Read: it's another way for the government to squeeze as much money out of me as possible. There's a shocker.

Anyway.. I'm currently debating what to do about my blogs (no worries, not going anywhere!). I have this one and my wedding blog, and I sometimes feel like I'm assaulting you with all my posts, both here and there (if you follow both). Is it too much, you think? I will say that once I start the new massage job, I will not have nearly as much time to dedicate to either blog.. at least not initially. So it may all balance out and I'm concerned over nothing, but I just thought I'd bring it up. Do you have any thoughts?

I'll wrap it up now - happy March and happy Tuesday!

Oh, and PS. If you're bored today, check out The Airborne Toxic Event. I recently "rediscovered" them and have been rocking out to their music for the past two weeks!

PPS. My mom corrected my post re: Natalie Portman last week. It's spelled fouetté, not forte (turns). Hey, I never claimed to know French. Thanks mom ;)

I don't get annoyed with your two blogs - post away! :)

It makes me sad you'll disappear a bit, but it's totally understandable!

Stewart is going through a similar thing right now, in Canada it's all the same EXCEPT in Quebec... and since rent is like WAY WAY WAY cheaper here... it's difficult because he works in Ontario, and we have to move back to Ontario...we want to but since I am going to (hopefully) go back to school something is going to have to be sacrificed (likely space).

Sigh.

I think it's dumb that if you ever decide to move to like Florida, New York or some other state... you have to do a bunch of tests. That's so lame.

I like both of your blogs, although I read this one more frequently. But its not too much! I like hearing about your everyday life and then hoping over to see hwo the wedding planning is coming.

Also, you look awesome today.

I'm so over the cold and ready for spring. I'm a beach bum anyway and crave the sunlight!! I wish I could pull off patterned tights, love them.

I love both your blogs. I actually had a convo yesterday about blogging and said to a friend that I write when I can and read/comment when I can.

So don't fret my friend! We'll still be here if you take a break. ;)

At least I will, ya can't get rid of me that easily. Haha

Funny about the Forte/Fouette! I noticed it right away (I speak French, forte means strong/strength) but the first thing I thought was "Arg, I've been saying it wrong for YEARS now." Oh well. You got the point across - N.Port is kind of awesome.

Also. Move to Florida. We're in the 80s all week. You'll love it.

I definitely understand with needing to cut back on blogging... maybe merge the two or use the wedding one to put ideas? Or tumblr? Not sure. I don't know how you can keep up with two blogs. I can barely keep up with one! I love your winterized spring outfit. If it makes you feel any better, the high was 72 today but I didn't get to spend any of my day in it. :(

I LOVE your outfit! Seriously, it's super cute! I have a lot of those patterned Vera Wang tights (they were on way sale last spring) I think you need to post more outfit posts!
