Vegas, baby! Days 3 and 4.. Exploring, and leaving

I left off with us wimping out on day 2 at about 12pm again. Vegas tires you out, no joke.

Day 3, aka Sunday, was scheduled as our typical tourist, walk around and take pictures day. We headed out around 10am in search of food to start us off, then made it about half-way down the strip (eh.. really only to Caesars Palace) until Scot and I went back to MGM. So without further ado, I present to you: our experience of half of the strip, in pictures. Woohoo!

I know I posted this one earlier, but it bears repeating. Champagne @ 9:30am to get me started.

Various views of the strip, including the Bellagio and Paris (bottom left and right)

Gratuitous photos of yours truly. I like the bottom left, because really, how fake does that look?!

Left: Glass flowers on the ceiling of the Bellagio ||| Right: Ginormo pumpkin display in Bellagio

Top right: Scot and bro, E ||| Bottom left: L and S playing some roulette at the Pussycat Doll area of Caesars
Bottom right: Um, yes. I found Elvis.

This series of pictures reflects my entire gambling experience.
Playing... WINNING!... losing... damn quarter slots.

Having fun yet? We were!!

After we had been walking around for about 6 hours, Scot and I broke apart from the group and headed back to our hotel room, because we had to get ready to meet up with Layla and her husband, who were coincidentally in Vegas at the same time we were! The plan was to meet them at their hotel, and take a limo over to see them get their vows renewed by Elvis; just as we were walking up to meet them, I got a text from Layla saying that Elvis cancelled on them (jerk) and they had to reschedule for Tuesday.. a shame, since we were leaving on Monday. We decided to meet up for a bit anyway to talk and just meet (seriously, it's great how many friends I've made through blogging/Twitter/Weddingbee). Unfortunately, this is the one part of our trip I don't have any pictures from :(( So you'll have to use your imaginations!

Well after our little rendezvous, Scot and I headed up to the Bellagio to see the fountain show at night (picture above!) and then headed back to MGM to cash out our chips and get ready for bed. It was only about 10pm at this point, but we had an 8:30 flight the next morning that required us to be out of bed by about 5:30am. The rest of our crew was back at the hotel at this point, so we said bye and thank you to everyone and peaced out.

Our flights the next day were a mess; we were delayed in Vegas which caused us to miss our connecting flight in Chicago, and we ended up getting home hours after we were supposed to. But I'll stop whining because we somehow got high-roller status on our first flight and ended up being in first class. I've never been in first class before, so this was only the best. thing. ever. to end our trip. Want proof? Okay:

That's our FREE breakfast and FREE coffee with Bailey's/gin and tonic.

Aaaaaamazing.

So that's all she wrote. Thanks for indulging and reading my recaps! I have some fun stuff to post coming up, so I'm excited to get back to my usual randomness :)

I love all the pictures! It looks like so much fun. I also love the way that Weddingbee/Twitter/other sites allow us to make friends who end up being real life friends. It's so cool to meet people that you've talked to for so long!

Oooh, the ceiling of the Bellagio? Gorgeous.

Way to be a pimp and get bumped to first class. Sorry you were delayed though, that's never fun.
