Yayyyy shopping :)
1. Payless - they are having their BoGo sale, and I was not disappointed with their selection. I walked away with:
Brown "flats" with with a slight wedge heel, and navy blue flats.
I also have the navy blue ones in black (which I literally wear every.day), red, and grey.
And...
Fuzzy, soft, comfy slipper boots and a Christian Siriano clutch (which ended up being $5!!!)
All this came to a grand total of $60.. which, I reminded Scot later, is equal to one copy of this:
Although he has been playing this nonstop since he got it. Oh, the joy.
2. Best Buy - main purpose of this was the new COD game (above) and a new TV.
See, when we got rid of cable and started using our spiffy new digital antenna on the living room TV, we decided to also run it into the bedroom TV so I could still watch the news as I get ready in the morning (it's become a necessity). Lo and behold, it didn't work, and the following conversation (a la Tress at Jumble Mash) ensued:
Me: Why isn't the damn cable working? It's not like the TV is that old.
Scot: Well, when did you get it?
Me: I dunno, my dad gave it to me when I was like 14? So that would be.. 1999.. oh crap.
Scot: Seriously?! 1999?! That's probably why it's not working, it's too old.
Me: So THIS is what all that yapping about a digital converter box was about. We're those ignorant people who didn't listen.
Scot: Let's get a new TV!!
That was the gist of the conversation. So, thanks to a gift card and some sweet in-store deals, we headed to Best Buy and got this:
Damn straight, that's Glee on it.
To replace this:
The pussycats are going to miss it too. Mostly because they liked to sleep on top of it.
I don't know why, but replacing old things 'from my childhood' is really sad for me. I don't want to get rid of the TV because I've had it so long, and my dad bought it for me, etcetcetc. I still have my big clunky laptop that I stopped using in 2008 because I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. Anyone else experience that at all? Or am I just a nutjob?!
More about Vegas in a bit!

Thanks for the shout out!!
I absolutely love those shoes! I'm going shopping tomorrow so I may have to swing by Payless and see what I can find!
P.S. I LOVE GLEE!
Yay for shopping! I may have to check payless out, because I could use some new shoes. I love BOGO.
I don't throw anything out that means something either. I have like, one day every few years (it's that bad) where I'll go through and if I haven't used it then it just gets chucked. Sad day.
@cheryl I'm glad someone else does this.. like, when and why would I ever use a broken laptop?!
Oh man, you should see our living room TV. It's one of those massive floor models with the cabinet built in and the speakers on the side. Bleck!
Your new TV is so awesome. I bet Call of Duty's quality on it is amazing.
