Sweet Nothings

You know those little things that just make your day? Especially the ones that your significant other does, and you just know he/she loves you and is thinking about you?

I woke up to one of those the other day.. it made me laugh and roll my eyes but also love my man that much more.

See, Scot is a very sarcastic person (part of the reason we get along so well). He's funny and smart, sometimes too much for his own good, I think! Our personalities mesh together really well, and he always keeps me on my toes. I like that :)

So Sunday night, I wrote a note on a post-it to remember my Coffee Mate to bring to work with me the next day, and stuck it above the door handle.

As I was about to leave, I grabbed the Coffee Mate and finally actually looked at the door, only to find this:

Yep. Reminders for ducks, oj, and car mirrors. Thanks Scot. Good to know.

But it absolutely made me smile and gave me a nice little pick me up at 7am on a Monday morning!

And - I just have to share this one, as well - because it cracked me up at the time.
I always write checks to Scot for rent and other expenses. Usually I just have him sign the back of a check that I fill out later on in the day and deposit it into his account, since we both have the same bank. I did so as usual, but as I was tearing the check out of my checkbook, I found this:

I never realized how much identity stealing info is on a check until I had to blur it all out. Geez.

Heh. This all might seem kind of ridiculous to you, but it's how he does.

Can't help but love him <3

super cute! I am glad I checked your blog out - I also found your wedding blog - I LOVE wedding blogs! So exciting!!

And p.s. thanks for being an enabler, I like to think of it as an Investment too... now IF ONLY I could get the boyfriend to agree...hmmmm Sears has a dealio you can do that is pay in 12 months, 24 months or 36 months in equal payments. something I really want to do... I'm finding a way to approach it with the boy this evening... given he's the accountant if he were to be convinced it was a good idea I would be buying it the next day!
