Brought to you by the number 11

I came across an amazing realization earlier today. Every address that Scot and I have shared has had the number 11 in it somewhere.

Three years ago, I moved into an apartment that he already had and we lived there together for about a month - the street address was 3114.

Then we moved into a bigger place, and our apartment number was 311.

A year later, we moved just up the street and the apartment number was 1122.

In a month, we'll be moving again, and the street number will be 2411.

Spooky, right?!

But I suppose the actual point of this post is not our coincidental obsession with the number 11, but more importantly, the fact that we're moving! To a HOUSE!!

While we didn't buy the house - still renting - this is a major step up for Scot and I and it's pretty exciting! We're upgrading from our (much too small) 1 bed, 1 bath apartment to a 4 bed, 2 bath house with a huge yard. Which obviously means we will be getting a dog in the near future. Huzzah!

The "selling" point for me was definitely the kitchen. The couple who owns the house only bought it about a year and a half ago (they have been reassigned overseas for 2 years, hence why they are renting it out) and completely tore apart and redid the kitchen and the sunroom/dining room. It went from being a closed off galley kitchen to a spacious, natural light filled beauty of a kitchen.

Baby paraphernalia not included.

Seriously gorgeous, and that's only part of it. I could take or leave the rest of the house, I'm totally cool with just living and sleeping the kitchen.

Oh, and as far as we know, the tub drainage situation in this place is a-ok.*

I think I'm most excited by all the room we're finally going to have. Our current place is really starting to get cluttered and just look messy, 24/7. With all those rooms, plus a basement, we will surely have ample space (at least for now!). It's only about a mile or so from where we currently live and is located in a great little neighborhood; move in date is set for early September.

We're finally moving up in the world, yo. Ch-ch-chaaaanges!

*In regards to the current tub situation.. I asked Scot why we couldn't call maintenance, and it's apparently because we he broke the stopper part. There's supposed to be a screw in stopper thingy and it "fell off" about 2 weeks into us living there. So.. if we call maintenance, we'll probably get charged for it. And isn't ignorance sometimes blissful? Sure is. ;)

Congratulations!! That's so exciting, and the kitchen looks awesome! That's also so funny about the number 11 being in every address you've lived in!

Houses are where it's at!!! We just moved into a house (that we are renting, of course) and it's 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and has a huge backyard too!

Your kitchen is GORGEOUS though.

Where is the house?
