Tuesday Tunes

This week is brought to you by the letter N.. for nostalgia.

On my playlist as of late have been a few songs from back in the day, when I was in high school. I think it's the whole end of summer/start of fall thing that makes me miss high school a bit, which I greatly associated with these songs and many others.

The first is Hurricane by Something Corporate. I loved these guys; still do. The lead singer, Andrew, later created a side project called Jack's Mannequin which is also pretty fantastic - there's a certain quality about his voice that I just love. The video below is an acoustic version, but I highly recommend listening to the original.




The second is Top of the World by The Juliana Theory. Back in my emo heyday, I was obsessed with these guys and had them on repeat in my nifty CD player. I'm not so enamored anymore, but I can never get enough of this song. ((When I was searching for a decent video version of this on YouTube, I was informed that it was in American Pie.. who knew? Not I.))
