Well.. I did it!

I graduated from massage therapy school on Saturday!!

Graduate? Me? Why, yes!!

I remember back to my first day at PMTI, during new student orientation. The instructors kept talking about us beginning a new journey, exploring ourselves, and how the next 18 months would go by unbelievably fast. All that woo-woo stuff that they always tell you to get you excited and make you feel better.

Well, I have to give them credit where credit is due. Looking back, I can honestly say that I have grown tremendously over the past year and a half, mentally and emotionally especially. I have discovered so many things about myself and made incredible friendships. My relationship with my now-fiance changed and grew and cemented itself, and I have become more comfortable in my own skin. While there were times that I got frustrated, stressed, aggrivated, upset, confused, doubtful... there were also times that I was elated, relaxed, satisfied, and happy. And looking back from Saturday, I can truly say that time flew by. Has it really been that long? Have I really completed my journey already? Yes yes and YES!!! It's so exciting, but yet so scary at the same time, which I previously mentioned here.

Yesterday, I had a mini-panic moment of "Omgosh, what am I going to do on Monday and Thursday nights?!" But really? I could use a month off. Come September, I will ((hopefully)) be working at the Graduate Clinic one night and interning for one of the academic or practical classes another night. I got really rooted in PMTI, and don't think I'm quite ready to leave just yet! Plus, I have to study for the national cert exam, then get licensed in DC and Maryland. That will take up some time, for sure. The future is looking brighter :)

With that being said, here are some pics of my classmates and friends, people who I know I will keep in touch with for years to come. All of them touched my life in different ways, all of them with healing hands and a unique touch that will surely help thousands of future clients.
