Ring-a-ling

I decided to get a little artsy, thanks to some inspiration from Wedding Bee. All over the site, brides-to-bee are taking engagement ring "glamour shots", if you will.. pictures of their e-ring with fun, interactive backgrounds: on a flower (common), on food, on something meaningful to that bride, etc. I decided that since I had a brand spanking new camera, I should join the crowds and give it a shot, or many shots as the case may be. One thing I learned is that you can't do an e-ring photo shoot on/with your cat.

Here are some that did work!

(personal photos)

I used bamboo for the first two, since my FH and I have tons of this around the apartment, and are even considering using some as centerpieces/favors at the wedding. The last three are on a feathered Mardi Gras themed mask that we got at his company's holiday party. The cats destroyed some of it, but you can't tell in the close ups! I just really loved the colors and how vibrant they came out on camera!

So there you have it, my oh so glamorous e-ring shots. Not bad for an amateur, eh? Still bummed that cat ones didn't work out. ;)
