Mistletoe & puppies

We interrupt our regularly scheduled bad blogger silence to bring you a story about Christmas music. Then puppies.

Part one:

I was driving to work a few weeks ago, listening to the morning radio show, when they announced that Justin Bieber is releasing a Christmas album and the first single, Mistletoe, was coming out and airing for the first time later that week. They proceeded to mention that this single will not simply be sent from LA to the radio station, but will be hand carried to ensure safe delivery. A man (woman?) will board a plane and fly the damn thing 3,000 miles instead of just mailing it like normal people. Not only that, but they were also sending decoys.. two or three other people with faux Bieber singles - to throw people off the trail.

I mean.. really?! What's the worst case scenario if someone intercepts the Bieb's new single? Armageddon? Anarchy? Lots of screaming tweens?

What makes this even more ridiculous is the fact that we can ship weapons across the US in semis (with a a couple inconspicuous bodyguard cars), sans decoy trucks. Yet Justin Bieber's music somehow requires decoys.

Now I'm not putting the Bieb's down, I just think it's a little silly, no?

And because I know you all now have ants in your pants...

Anyway. Part two:

We got a puppy!!!

Haiiii!

How on earth did I not share that?! Her name is Juno and we rescued her from the Washington Animal Rescue League. She's a lab/shepherd mix and about 4 and a half months old... so, basically, a handful. She's the sweetest little thing and saying that I've been incredibly busy with her among the rest of life is an understatement. We had our first puppy manners class last night and it wore. me. out. I would say Juno was a star.. but you have to know that by star, I mean the one always used as an example of what a puppy should NOT do. ::facepalm::

So that's that. Expect lots of gratuitous puppy pictures in the future. Keep calm and blog on, my friends!
